GRATIOT MEDICAL CENTER AUXILIARY FOLLIES
The theme of this year's follies is "A Scrapbook" and we
are traveling around the world adding pictures to our scrapbook.
We will be doing a couple of songs on our trip in Detroit, Chicago, Memphis, New
Orleans, Vega, Paris, London
(a Beatles tribute) Rio, New York and back to Alma. It will be fun, fast paced
and for a good cause.
Meet the Director is September
29th and the shows are October 23, 24, and matinee/evening on the 25th, 2008.
Just a few weeks of rehearsal. You can be as involved as you wish, singing,
dancing, comedy, chorus - it's all fun!
One of the "guy numbers" this year is the Banana Boat Song. Some of the other
solos are "Up On The Roof," "Midnight
Blue," "Walking in Memphis," "Not Exactly Paris," "Wonderful Tonight," and the
Beatles tribute to name a few. Most
of the songs have backup singers.
All rehearsals and performances
are here at the Strand and the theater shares in the profit as well as the
Gratiot Community
Hospital Auxiliary. Rehearsal times will be 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday
through Friday, with comedy on Friday nights.
Meet the director is September 29th, 7:30 p.m. at the Strand theater.
Kevin Fitzgibbon is directing the show
this year, so look forward to some fun! Everyone who shows up gets a part, there
are no auditions, so come on!
