We are offering three shows this season along with a special event in December. We need the month of January 2026 to repair the ceiling in the auditorium. More tiles have been falling so we have arranged for all the tiles to be removed during this time.

This production is about the autobiographical story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie's appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life.

Directed by Tim Moon. Presented by arrangement with Dramatist Play Service, Inc.

Barn Raising, Help us raise the ceiling!

This special event will help us pay for fixing the ceiling in the auditorium. Scheduled for December 5, 2025. Have you ever had the feeling that the sky is falling? At the Strand Theatre, it almost is! We invite you to join us in the spirit of an old-fashioned community barn raising. This time, we’re not building a barn, but we are fixing the ceiling! Generous support has allowed us to remediate mold, upgrade the seats, install new curtains, and build a concessions stand. During Winter 2026, we’re raising funds to repair the ceiling and take on additional improvements that will enhance safety, comfort, and the overall experience for our patrons. Come out for a toe-tapping celebration featuring some of your GCP favorites.

Dearly Beloved

April 24, 25, 26 & May 1, 2, 3, 2026.

Auditions: Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Strand Theatre.

Hilarity, Texas style! An over-the-top wedding, three feuding sisters and a church full of small town eccentrics. What could possibly go wrong? In this fast-paced, laugh-a-minute comedy, the Futrelle sisters of Fayro, Texas - Frankie, Twink and their estranged sister, Honey Raye - are thrown together to pull off a family wedding. But it is not going well. This joyful Southern-fried comedy about love, marriage, sisterhood and three hundred pounds of good ol' Texas barbeque will have you laughing all the way down the aisle!

Directed by Claudia McLoughlin and Tiffany Martinez. Presented by arrangement with Dramatist Play Service, Inc.
