The work of the director is central to the production of a play. The director has the challenging task of bringing together the many complex pieces of a production—the script, actors, set, costuming, lighting and sound and music—into a unified whole. The producer has many tasks throughout the show: coordinating the various production departments, assisting the director in forming a production team, financial accounting of the show's expenses, production program (cast bios, production staff bios, cast/staff list, scene breakdown, next production's audition information), lobby display, organize cast parties, show shirts, organize theatre cleaning, assist with auditions, and arrange the Masonic Home special performance.
